Ice Bubble Abstracts
As winter transitions to spring in Fairbanks, Alaska the temperatures are warm during the day and freezing at night creating the wonderful ice abstract patterns on the Chena River.

White Winter
Winters white blanket has coated the landscape here in the Fairbanks, Alaska. With the first cold snap the frost has grown to coat the trees. Although temperatures are well below zero the photography is beautiful.

Winter Trees
Winter has arrived and this weekend we had our fist week of below zero temperatures. The sub zero temperatures causes the frost and snow to cling to the trees giving the landscape a magical look.

Ice Pattern Abstracts
The interior of Alaska is slowly turning to winter. It seems to be behind this year as the early snows have disappeared and temperatures have remained fairly mild. My adventures with the camera took me to an old favorite place now known as Tanana Lakes. The ice patterns have begun to form nicely.
