Thought I would share some images from old files.  The barn image was made with an old Hasselblad 500c.  I love my old Hasselblad!  The other two were from my trusty Pentax 6x7.

Walking Images at a recent street fair. Something completely for me. I usually do not photograph people for my subjects, but it is very good practice to get outside the comport zone.

White Agave in the California desert.

Alternative printing images from the Jill Enfield Alt. Printing workshop in Palm Springs a few weeks ago.  The top image is a straight Palladium Print and the bottom is a Van Dyke Brown print.  If you are not familiar with the work of Jill Enfield, I encourage you to take a look at her website.
Waiting for a rider.  Carousel Horse from a 7x17 inch negative contact print.
An old favorite from Anchorage Alaska, McHugh Creek.  From a 7x17 inch negative that has been contact printed.
A winter scene collage of images from Fairbanks, Alaska.  It is a very beautiful sight when the temperatures drop to 40 degrees below zero and the ice crystals bloom from the trees.

This almost makes me miss winter, but alas it will be here again ready and waiting for new images to be made.  One of the challenges to photography is the ability to actually grab your camera and make images.  I was listening to a Ted lecture online last night by Sir Ken Robinson, who by the Sir is from England and who no resides in California.  If you are not familiar with the Ted talks, I encourage you to look it up and check it out.  During part of his talk, he referenced that we are all creative at the young ages and as we gain int he years some how we are convinced that we are not creative.  I believe we all have the ability to create, so grab your camera or your finger paints and create!  I dare you.

International Fine Art Photography Award

These are my selected images to be entered for the Paris photography show.  The entries are in the Still Life, Abstract and Landscape categories.  The deadline is tomorrow so if you have not already entered, do it now.  If you do not enter you have no chance.  Let me know what you think of the images. I plan to be in Paris next November for the awards.

Apple wedges, you need a very sharp knife.

Two Windows and Desert Landscape from the iPhone and Hipstamatic.  Drove back to the California Coast from Palm Springs and enjoyed the backroads.   I encourage you to take the road less traveled and slow down to enjoy the sights and even stop the car to make images.  Happy trails.

New iPhone images from my travels to Palm Springs, CA for the Palm Springs Photo Festival.
